Is now the time to think big for your business?

Your dispatch system is the very foundation of your business: if it doesn’t work properly or give you the tools you need to achieve your goals, then it is failing.

Undoubtedly, it is a very difficult time for any business in the taxi industry regardless of where you are. There has obviously been a dramatic reduction in demand for taxis with travel (international and local) almost non-existent, leisure facilities and pubs/restaurants closed. Businesses have been able to take advantage of some opportunities such as increased demand for couriers or takeaway food services but this is not enough to make up the shortfall for most.

It has been challenging both operationally and emotionally for any taxi business owner but we can see that with vaccine rollouts underway and more countries starting their programmes every week, there will be a return to some normality in 2021.

With this in mind, is it time to think strategically about how to future-proof your business to ensure that you are in the best possible position to take advantage of all available opportunities when the time comes?

Less demand for taxis is obviously negative for business and your bottom line but if we're looking for positives in this situation, has it given you time to take a step back from the day to day operation of your business? Do you have the time to think about how you could make your business better going forward? If you do, thinking about your technology is a good place to start.

Your dispatch system is the very foundation of your business: if it doesn't work properly or give you the tools you need to achieve your goals, then it is failing. A software platform should make your business better - it should provide you with the ability to automate routine tasks, taking away human subjectivity to make your business efficient, streamlined and scalable. This should give you the gift of time; time to focus on your goals and how to get there.

If your technology isn't helping you to deliver your business priorities, is now the time to look at what else is available on the market?
