AfriCab Go-Live Announced

AfriCab, an innovative start-up based in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire is the latest customer of the Sherlock Taxi Solution.

AfriCab, an innovative start-up based in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire is the latest customer of the Sherlock Taxi Solution. Sherlock now provides auto-allocation (real-time dispatching) for the fleet, both customer and driver apps, as well as a web portal and integration with a number of third-party providers, including Twilio, FlightStats, and Checkout.

From the start of January 2016, the Sherlock Taxi team worked alongside AfriCab, to train the initial 90 drivers, controllers, call centre staff and management. The team went above and beyond by providing close mentoring and guidance in the period after the system went live to ensure a smooth and efficient start. AfriCab launched with 60 brand new Toyota and Peugeot vehicles and it now provides a service which is second-to-none in Cote d’Ivoire.

We are truly excited by the launch and the many opportunities that Sherlock brings us. The degree of automation of the system is fantastic and in the coming months we look forward to adding some further functionality to take advantage of the unique circumstances here in Cote d’Ivoire.
